Getting The Word Out

Gearing up for PHOTOGraphie 2016

Earlier this year we were at Burnaby Showcase  and last night we attended an event put on by The North Shore Photographic Society.  How exciting to meet so many local talented and enthusiastic photographers.

We are hoping to see some of this talent submit for the PHOTOGraphie Open Exhibition.  Anyone can enter (for free) up to 3 images for consideration to hang in this weekend exhibit.

There are so many exciting things happening this year at PHOTOGraphie and we are really looking forward to engaging with a diverse group of talented people willing to share their work, visit the Beau Photo Industry Expo, partake in free mini workshops leading up to the event, and take advantage of the very affordable full day workshop with our keynote speaker.  For two years we have brought in very exciting, talented speakers and this year will be NO different.

If you have a BC High School youth or know someone who does, don’t let them miss out on the fantastic opportunity to enroll in our free youth workshop. This is all part of our youth contest where the winning student will go home with a brand new Nikon camera!

So get the word out!  Encourage friends to “Like” us on Facebook to keep up to date with what is happening as we get closer to the event.

ENGAGE at PHOTOGraphie and be INSPIRED by local talent as we bring the best to EDUCATE and further your creative pursuits!

Look forward to seeing you there……

Image Competition Images To Hang At PHOTOGraphie Festival!

Accepted, Merit and Excellence images to be printed and hung at photographie open exhibition

In the digital age, it is a sad truth that very few beautiful images make it to print these days.

That is why we are please to announce that this year’s PHOTOGraphie Festival will also feature work from our Provincial Image Competition!

In addition to the beautiful work of our keynote speaker Ken Sklute and the curated show, we will hang printed images from our Provincial Image Competition.

This annual competition will be taking place Thursday September 24th at the Anvil Centre.  Feel free to stop by and watch the action in Room 101 from 9 until approximately 5pm.

Thanks to our generous sponsors at LaminART and Photo EXPERT, we will be showcasing work from this image competition as well.

Stop by and see the results of the work accepted in to this prestigious competition in glorious print!  Photo EXPERT has generously offered to print all these images on fine art paper and LaminART will be printing the images awarded with ‘Excellence’ to be framed and hung as 16×20.

All the work of those hanging in the show will be free to take these prints home once the open exhibition ends.

Look forward to seeing you there!
